School Improvement Plan

North Carolina G.S. § 115C-105.27 requires the development of a School Improvement Plan (SIP) to enhance student performance.  Rutherford County Schools Board Policy 3430 School Improvement Plan states that each school must develop SIPs every two years, with required mid-cycle reviews.

Beginning with the 2025-2027 cycle, all RCS schools have developed and entered their SIPs exclusively through the NCStar platform.  This change aligns RCS with most school districts statewide, which use NCStar Indistar platform for school improvement planning. The system ensures consistent formatting, reduces redundancy for federally identified schools, and streamlines submission and communication among stakeholders.
